RIVER BANDON
Due to a rise in water levels, 20 salmon were landed for the week on the
river Bandon.
RIVER LEE, CORK CITY
30 – 40 salmon landed for the week below the weir and the best method was
shrimp fishing.
RIVER ILEN
Due to a rise in water levels a lot of salmon have been seen moving up the
river.
RIVER LAUNE BEATS 1 AND 2
1 salmon landed on Beat 1 of the river Laune weighing 9.5 lbs by Martin Ring, Killarney, on a Flying C. Water levels have risen slightly.

The two South Munster CAC Inniscarra Festivals were held from 2/9-8/9 and were a great success. The weather was perfect and the fishing was superb. The Pete Ottewill Trophy was won for the second consecutive year by Charlie Greaves from Leitrim.
1st. Charlie Greaves, Leitrim------ 83kgs 900gms.
2nd. Ray Heagarty, Sussex------- 71-750.
3rd. Mal Entwistle, Cardiff----------- 69-500.
4th. Malc Payne, Leics--------------- 69-400.
5th. Martin Tobias, Sussex---------- 65-100.
6th. Andy Cumming, Sussex------- 64-850.
Winner Day 1. Ray Heagarty with 31kgs 800gms.
Day 2. Charlie Greaves with 34kgs 200gms.
Day 3. Charlie Greaves with 32kgs 900gms.
Forty seven anglers weighed in a total of 2132kgs 700gms, an average of 45kgs per angler.
The Noel Hackett Cup was won by James Clay from York.
Result was

2nd. Mal Entwistle, Cardiff-------------73-600.
3rd. Steve Edson, Leeds-------------- 72-900.
4th. Charlie Greaves, Leitrim----------68-900.
5th. Ray Heagarty, Sussex------------68-650.
6th. Tony Bills, Kent--------------------68-150.

Day 2. Tony Bills with 31-600.
Day 3. Steve Edson with 39-500.
Forty three anglers weighed in a total of 2146kgs 750 gms, an average of a fraction under 50kgs per angler.

Inniscarra Lake has become much more of a mixed fishery in recent years. Although the main species is still bream the number of rudd, hybrids, eels and roach showing up during the competitions is noticeable. A carp and a tench were also weighed in this year.
