FORTHNIGHT SUNDAY THE 18TH OF February 2007
During the first week 1 salmon was landed on Beat 1 by a visiting angler weighing 14 lbs on a fly. During the second week 3 trout were landed weighing about 1.5 lbs each landed by local and visiting anglers. Water levels are high.
No report of catches on the lakes.
The river Lee opened for salmon fishing on the 1st of February and for Brown Trout fishing on the 15th of February. To date no catches have been reported. Very few anglers appear to be fishing. Water levels are fluctuating.
Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing opened on the 15th of February. A bye-law prohibits fishing below Innishannon Bridge before the 17th of March. So far no catches have been reported. Water levels are exceptionally high.
