Salmon and trout reports

ILEN RIVER

Two fish reported caught at the weekend with the rise in water levels.

RIVER BANDON

8 fish caught on the Bandon with three caught on David Lamb’s fishery with 2 weighing between 8 lbs and 9 lbs with the smallest one being returned to the water.  All in all, the rise in water levels proved very beneficial to the anglers who were able to get out and wet their lines.

LAUNE ANGLERS WATERS

Water was still at a nice level for the week and perfect for grilse at any rate.  I am aware of 2 fish for the week on laune angler's waters.  One of 12 lbs. was caught on Thursday and one on Friday 8 lbs. Both fish were caught on the fly.  A Tralee angler lost a lovely fresh grilse on Saturday evening fishing the fly.

Prospects of rain are getting anglers hopes up.
