Water level has fallen back dramatically making fly-fishing and spinning less productive. There are still fresh fish entering the river and a good supply of fish taking up residence but they are very hard to catch. There has been a high angling effort for the week but few fish being met and fewer still being caught.
This writer caught one sea-liced fish of 4 lbs for the week and its dorsal fin was badly damaged indicating it had been caught in a net at some stage in the recent past. Total for the week 10 fish, 2 for Beat 3.
