RIVER LEE

21 fish were reported from the River Lee for the week

RIVER LEE (ESB FISHERY)

On this fishery the following salmon i.e. Spring salmon grilse or peel were recorded in the past three weeks.

14 June:
1 peel 3 lbs on a shrimp - Mick Kelleher, Cork               
1 peel 4½ lbs on a fly - Mick Kelleher, Cork
1 peel 4 lbs on a shrimp - John O’Brien, Cork

15 June     
1 peel 3 lbs on a shrimp - Mick Kelleher, Cork

16 June

KILLARNEY LAKES AND LOUGH LEANE

2 fish caught on the Lakes. 

RIVER LAUNE BEATS 1 AND 2

Two 7 lbs. fish and one 5 lbs. fish reported caught on the Laune.

FLESK RIVER

5 salmon caught on the Flesk River with an average weight of 4 lbs. each.

RIVER BLACKWATER

Very good water all week with continuous rain.  3 fish caught, best fish by local angler Dave Baker at 6 lbs. there were only a few anglers fishing.  For enquiries phone 087 2241095   

RIVER BANDON

6 fish caught on the Bandon River for the week.

FOR WEEKENDED SUNDAY THE 5TH OF JULY 2009

KILLARNEY LAKES AND LOUGH LEANE

2 fish caught on the Lakes weighing 9 lbs. and 11 lbs. respectively.

RIVER LAUNE BEATS 1 AND 2

2 x 6 lbs. fish caught on Beat 1 of the Laune.

FLESK RIVER

5 fish caught on the Flesk River with an average weight of 4 lbs each.

LAUNE ANGLERS WATERS AND BEAT 3

(REPORT OF BILLY DOWNES, CLUB SECRETARY): No report.

RIVER BLACKWATER (Kerry)

Small flood on Tuesday July 1st and the first Blackwater fish caught by local angler Tim Moore at 5 ½ lbs.  Another 2 fish lost the same day.  Another flood on Saturday 4th fish caught by local angler Tim Moore 6 lbs.  Fishing should improve greatly from now on.
