Bait
Bait for Sea-Angling can be gathered at most venues and local information
is invaluable. Frozen bait is also readily available from local tackle shops.
Bait Gatherers Code
- Gather only what you need to ensure future supplies of bait.
- Back fill all holes, for safety, and to maintain the inter-tidal harbour.
- Replace all turned rocks and stones as this will preserve the food chain.
- Do not dig around Moorings, Slipways, Sea Walls etc.
- Be aware of local hazards and conditions, I.E. soft mud, quicksand, tidal
flows, fog and adverse weather conditions.
- Do not disturb nesting birds.
- Take your litter home.
- Tell someone where you intend to dig.
